THE PSYCHOLOGICAL MAP - FORM A

CHANGE STATE INDICATOR
The Change State Indicator (CSI) is based upon the pioneering studies of the late Clare W. Graves, Professor Emeritus Psychology, Union College, New York. It is part of a suite of globally available assessment tests that are available through the Spiral Dynamics Group Inc. Texas.

Understanding order, chaos and change in turbulent times. The Change State Indicator is the first measure of the core changes in people that produce 'value systems'. This test reveals a flow-like 'change' profile of the person. Additional scales are built around a stability factor (PREFERS ORDER and/or THRIVES ON CHAOS) and FIRST-ORDER and SECOND-ORDER CHANGE. Finally, the test indicates one's readiness to accept change or preference to stay within the givens.

The CSI displays your relative concentration of energy within the flow of change. Your scores will reflect composite summaries, since you may be in different change states in different areas of your life.

LeaderSCAN360 - provides simple speedy and effective 'leadership qualities' feedback to individuals who have the desire to enhance their personal potential. Our approach to Leadership development is a modelled approach that focuses on the essence of leadership - the difference that really makes the difference. At no stage would we advocate a definition of the specific attributes of a leader as we recognize the wide variability and context dependency of this concept. We do advocate however that the overall need in today´s world is the need for thinking that can handle the requisite complexity of the organisation and the environment in which it is operating.

Our approach to Leadership is quite simply:

An individual who recognizes the choices open to them in any given situation and responds with flexibility, creativity and innovation, in a manner where others become naturally involved to ensure the optimum achievement of the intended outcome. The test tracks a range of key Leadership qualities and attributes and focuses on a healthy manifestation of these. Healthy in this case being defined as an attitude or approach that is supportive of the overall healthy development of an organisation. So for example if a leadership attribute results in individuals in the organisation becoming less effective then the whole natural system is threatened.

A novel feature of the LeadersSCAN360 is that it obtains information about the Core Values and Change State of the respondent. This two way feedback process means that more precision can be brought to the interpretation of the results and allow the leader in question to further hone their skills of working with natural systems.
